Preschool Curriculum 

Social and Emotional Development 

Children learn to take care of personal needs, follow classroom rules, use manners, use words to express emotions, play cooperatively, engage in group activities, share and take turns with others, take care of shared materials...

Language Development 

Children learn to speak in complete sentences, say their first and last name, understand and respond to simple questions, retell familiar stories, engage in phonemic awareness activities (rhyming, alliteration, isolating beginning sounds...), produce letter sounds....

Cognitive Development 

Children learn to name colors and shapes, sort objects, verbally count to 10 or beyond, count objects using 1 to 1 correspondence, understand positional words, recognize first name in print, know simple opposites, identify rhyming words, replicate simple patterns...

Fine Motor Skills 

Children learn to build with blocks & Legos, put inset puzzles together independently, use scissors correctly, copy shapes, hold writing & coloring utensils correctly...

Gross Motor Skills 

Children practice throwing, catching, kicking a ball, balancing, hopping on 2 feet, galloping, running around obstacles, dancing to music...

Spiritual Development 

Children learn how to sit well in chapel, sing Bible songs, understand who Jesus is, understand God's word is the Bible...
