From the Classroom

As I sat down to write this newsletter, I realized it is the last one for the school year!  Wow, what a fast, busy and great year we have had. I would like to thank you all for your help, and especially the support you showed us through out the school year. I’m looking forward to seeing them next year!

We started a farm unit and have enjoyed making little pigs playing in the mud and cows. Then we had a farm breakfast and it was a huge success. Thank you Mrs. Crowe for making delicious scrambled eggs.

We also had so much fun at our Easter egg hunt. Thank you parents for your help hiding their eggs and for our great luncheon.

Of course our Bible stories have all been surrounding Easter. The children loved the ‘Resurrection Eggs’. Each egg I opened had a different symbol to tell the story of Jesus’  great love for us.

We celebrated Earth day by making ‘Garbage Gobbler’ out of recycled material.

May will find us doing more projects on bugs, dinosaurs and gardens. We will also be following the stories of Jesus as we focus on the forty days following his resurrection.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, June 1st at 10:30 am for our class graduation at the church .

The children will be singing some songs they have learned over the past year and will also receive their diplomas!

From the Director

It’s hard to believe there is only one month left in our school year. We have all had such a great time and our little ones have grown so much. We are not, however, ready to wrap up the year just yet, as we still have many great projects, our annual ‘Book Fair’, along with the too, too precious graduation ceremonies!

As this is the last newsletter of the school year, I would like to add my thanks, along with the teachers, to all our wonderful families for your help and support this year. We have had wonderful turnouts for all the special events in the classrooms, as well as, our school and church programs,.

You have also shown tremendous generosity during the year with your support of our pizza days, party supplies, food and special treats. All these small things add up to a year of big happy memories for your child and all of us. Lastly I want to say a special good-by to all our children and families here. It has been an honor and a blessing to be a part of your lives. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Good News For Kids

I commit you to the word of God’s grace which can give you an inheritance among all those who are saved.         Acts 20.32

This is the last article with Mrs. Nielsen as our beloved director and Kindergarten teacher.  For the past 19 years she and I have worked together as closely as thunder and lightning.  We have seen to it that your children were taught the pure Word of God.  We did not manipulate or guilt you.  Remember that if, in your next religious school there are mandatory requirements for you or donations to the building or other funds that are strongly encouraged on the admissions form.  We have conducted ourselves not only as your older brother and sister, but as your servants.

Now, for those leaving us, we commit you to God’s care.  For the years of ministry Shawn has fruitfully given us all, we offer humble thanks to God and our lasting gratitude to her.

Thank you for 19 wonderful years, Mrs. Nielsen.                    Pastor Pieper
